MY FLAG
SYNOPSIS
My Flag is a play where performers travel through the color palette suggested by their flag. Through words resignification such as memory, homeland or celebration, they use their body and voice as translators of that flag that constantly changes shape, color, and belonging. Three women are submerged between tradition and contemporaneity to fight between passion and rebuke generated by The Flag.
ABOUT THE PLAY
My flag is a sensorial and multidisciplinary piece that, through scenic, visual and musical language, tries to (re) signify concepts, atmospheres and situations of the common imaginary: identity, folklore, ritual; life and death. It is the result of a collective creation process, through the compilation of texts, body scores and free versions of traditional songs, such as “Salve rociera”, reggaeton and other world music. In her womb we find the feminine energy as a combat drive, creative force and hope to deal with this flag.
The constant in the work has been first the search for the essence that underlies concrete popular expressions, to later, through the processes of abstraction and opposition, find among all these superimposed spheres a common place that can be extended to the universal collective imaginary.
Starting from a neutral banner, free of any ideological, political or social connotation, viewers are invited to reflect on this object meanings, attending its constant transformation during the play. The public is part of this shared experience, where they are invited to be moved by the body and sensorial work, participating in this particular festival of life and death.

ATTACHED TO MY FLAG
SYNOPSIS
During our confinement due to COVID, we were forced to stop our creative process as it had been until then, to confine ourselves, to find new ways and means to continue nurturing this work so fragile and so powerful and full of possibilities. From these investigations, such a quantity of material emerged, very diverse, unexpected and interesting, we decided to filter it and recover it to bring it closer to the public in the form of a performance conference, giving rise to this Attached to My Flag.
ABOUT THE PLAY
This piece emerged during the period of confinement in Spain (March-June 2020) as a result of the state of alarm caused by COVID-19. As it was not possible to rehearse in person, weekly online we organized meetings via Zoom where through the tools of stage research such as creation of atmospheres, viewing of inspirational references, debates and pooling of ideas, a huge material emerged around Thematics of My Flag that, because it is not possible to include this performatic speech in its entirety in the main piece, it is decided to offer it separately as an annex. This performance conference aims to share with the public the questioning and the paths that the investigation took during the confinement on the flag concept, free of any ideological, political and/or social connotation.
